Preparing the Skin for Makeup

  1. The purpose of preparing the skin for makeup is so that the skin looks its absolute best, is protected, and so that the makeup looks flawless.
  2. HYGIENE is important when beginning any makeup application. Make sure you have hand sanitizer on you or that you wash your hands before touching your client’s skin. Brushes should be clean and makeup products should be disinfected before the appointment. I like to carry hand sanitizer on me during the makeup application and use it in front of my client so that she feels comfortable if my hands come in contact with her skin.

LOTD: Velvety Midnight Eyes

Hiya Crazies!:D So, I was just searching around Pinterest for makeup inspiration yesterday, and found this outfit collage inspired by nautical designs. When I think of sailors, and the sea, I think of maybe white and light blue makeup, but I wanted to change it up. I opted for a dark lid, neutral crease, and a smokey glitter lower lash line. I LOVE how this look turned out! Hope you do too:

The look in real life is a lot better-looking, but whatevs. 😉

So I checked out the link (Demonstration starts at about 3:26) :

3D Makeup Printer Article

I am amazed at what this thing can do. To think I’d never have to buy another makeup product again is …….is…….well it’s exciting and scary at the same time. I’d love to be able to take a photo of someone’s lipstick and hurry home to my printer and make my own, the question is what does this mean for the brands we…
