LOTD: Smokey Eyes: Do’s and Don’t’s

Hi my lovelies! 😀 So earlier, I did the TMI Tag, so check it out! Today’s look is how to do, and not to do a classic smokey eye. I went through each step, with tips on what to do and not to do. (the eye on your left is the right way to do it, and the eye on your right is the wrong one).

The base:

Do: apply some of the black cream base to the lid, and blend it out from there.

Don’t: apply the black base all over the eyes, and then blend out.

Crease Blender:

Do: apply a matte gray shade, and blend.

Don’t: apply a matte black shade, and blend.

Crease Definition:

Do: apply a darker matte gray to the crease and blend.

Don’t: apply a matte black to the crease and blend.

Do: apply an off-black to the lid.

Don’t: apply more black all over the lid.

Do: blend everything out with a mix of the black and grays.

Don’t: blend everything out with black.

Lower Lash Line:

Do: apply the grays across the lower lash line, and a little black on the outer part, then blend.

Don’t: apply black thickly on the lower lash line, then blend.

Do: apply a warm brown to the brows.

Don’t: apply black to the brows.

Do: apply black or dark gray to the waterline

Don’t: apply white to the waterline.

The ‘don’t’ classic smokey eye..

The ‘do’ classic smokey eye.

You can even add a pop of color in the waterline if you want to.

I hope this was helpful!

Comment below if I missed something 😀

Tutorial: Basic Smokey Eyes

Hello lovelies! 😀 I notice that one of the looks that women most want to learn to do is a simple smokey eye. So, here is a tutorial that I hope you will find helpful!

I was really happy on how this look turned out. If you want this to be more of a super quick smokey eye, all you have to do is take NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean, draw some on your lid, and easily blend up a bit with your ring finger. That’s an easy and super quick way to do a smokey look, in case your going straight from work to a night out, or are running out the door.

I hope you liked the look too! Much love, Lucy 😀

LOTD: Dramatic Smoke

Hello lovelies! Before we get this LOTD started, I wanted to share some exciting news: the lovely Naa from Adolescent Chic featured me on her blog post. I can’t thank her enough! 😀 Check it out! 😀 Anyways, here is the look:

I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette eye shadows in Buck, Naked, Toasted, Hustle, Dark Horse, and Virgin. I used Elf Cream Eyeliner in Black, and L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black. For the lips and Cheeks, I used the Sephora Limited Edition Makeup Kit. I hope you liked the look! See you all very soon! Much, much love<Lucy 😀 ❤

LOTD: Shay Mitchell Inspired Smokey Eyes

Hello lovelies! 😀 Today’s look is yet another from the Makeup Geek Idea Gallery! The recreation is of this look here:

And here is my recreation:

I used Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Corrupt, and Beaches and Cream. I also used some Sephora Limited Edition Makeup Kit products. 🙂 I hope you liked the look!<Lucy 😀

LOTD: Simple Smokey Eyes Without Mascara

Hello lovelies! 😀 Today’s look is a simple smokey look, using no mascara, but the look still has definition:

All I used was a smokey gray finely milled eye shadow from Sephora lining the eyes with an angled brush, and in the crease (optional), and lining the waterlines (both) with black pencil-L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Ebony. No mascara, blush, or eye primer! And there you go, a simple, gorgeous smokey eye easy to do in less than 30 seconds!!! 😀 I hope you liked this!<Lucy 😀
